Who we are
Tinden=The peak or summit (Norwegian)
I grew up skiing and adventuring in the Methow Valley, and the cabin where this retreat takes place has been part of that life for as long as I can remember. Built by my parents with inspiration from traditional Norwegian mountain cabins (hytter) and updated over the years with modern Scandinavian touches, it’s cozy, welcoming, and the perfect space to move, relax, and connect. The retreats are shaped by the simple flow of Norwegian mountain huts. Retreats are possible with the help of friends, family, and the local community, as the heart of these gatherings is connection.
My attachment to Norway, through family, frequent travel, and time spent living there, shaped how I think about movement, shared spaces, and simple rituals that bring people together.
I love getting people outside, sharing nourishing meals, and creating a space where everyone feels supported and at ease, whether we’re skiing, exploring trails, warming up in the sauna, or simply enjoying the rhythm of the day. I was born and raised in Seattle, and I currently live in Seattle while spending a lot of time in the Methow Valley and traveling.
