During the retreat, Nordic skiing will be a big part of our time together.
We’ll have group ski lessons most days, with local instructors who meet you where you are, whether you’re brand new to cross-country skiing or have some experience already. Groups will be kept small and based on comfort and experience level, so everyone gets plenty of support.
After lessons, we’ll head out on ski trails together, moving at a relaxed pace through quiet forests and open fields. It’s less about distance or performance and more about enjoying the snow, the scenery, and being outside together.
Whether you’re new to Nordic skiing or just looking to enjoy winter in a slower, more intentional way, the skiing on this retreat is meant to feel approachable, cozy, and fun.
Nestled in the heart of North Central Washington, the Methow Valley is one of the premier Nordic skiing destinations in the United States, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and groomed trails.
Ski & Activity
It’s all about warmth, comfort, and connection. After a day on the trails, you can look forward to cozy meals and snacks designed to nourish your body.
We’ll enjoy après-ski appetizers, perfect for gathering around and sharing stories of the day. Whenever possible, ingredients are local and seasonal, highlighting the best of Methow Valley’s offerings.
Meals are host-prepared and inspired by Scandinavian flavors and Nordic roots, with simple, wholesome recipes that feel hearty yet elegant. Think warming stews, fresh-local breads, comforting grains, and flavors that reflect the snowy landscapes outside your window.
Every meal is meant to be a slow, enjoyable moment, a chance to relax, reconnect, and savor good food in good company.
Eat
The retreat takes place in a cozy, inviting cabin in Methow Valley, inspired by Norwegian hytte (mountain cabin) and Scandinavian design. The space is warm, comfortable, and full of character, perfect for a winter escape.
Guests will be sleeping in Scandinavian-style duvets and linens that are soft, cozy, and perfect for a restful night after a day on the trails. The cabin has a living and lounge area with a fireplace and record player, ideal for gathering, chatting, and relaxing together in the evenings.
The sauna is separate from the main cabin, providing a space to warm up and unwind after skiing or exploring.
Staying here is about connection, comfort, and enjoying the rhythms of winter together, in a space designed for shared experiences and cozy moments.
